CANARIAS RALLY, CORTE INGLÉS CUP

JOAN VINYES, THE WINNER

CANARY ISLANDS/ A. MARTÍNEZ

The canarian Rally, Corte Inglés Cup, has been a successful. About a thousand of people were working together to have the best rally in Canaries, which also counts towards the Spanish Championship and  European Championship. At the end of the rally, his promoter Luis Monzon, who had carried out a terrible accident, show himself fairly happy about the rally “all things has been a successful. We had worked hard and that’s the result”.

In connection to the roads and teams, the rally was long and cold. It seems that the weather, which usually is warm in the Islands, was rainy and foggy. This fact doesn’t let teams to race at 100%. The most of them had to put wheels to use in wet. Others prefered to use a mixed wheel that let race in wet and in dry surfaces.

The absolutely winner was Joan Vinyes from Spain Championship, although Daniel Sordo was very near to get him. In the N group, the winner was Víctor Delgado in spite of Fran Suarez, his partner in the Coronas Team, who had been the winner until the last stage where, he had a problem with his car. A  team strategy or truth?.

We hope to see soon the Spain championship cars in our roads again. The next date is The North Rally, the 7TH of May.
