Sentence is one of the first hardcore bands out from Romagna, a region placed in the north
- east part of Italy. With the first line - up, born in april 1997, the band makes many
live shows and after a year, records " Another day ends " a 5 songs demo tape.
Nevertheless, the first line - up, won't last for too long because of many attitude
divergences and lack of commitment of some bandmates who were not so interested in turning
the project into something more steady. In 1999, the band signs for Tomcat rec. a small
local label; then with the second line - up, records two new songs to be included in the
7" " Perfection through dysfunction ". The 7" is pressed in 1000
copies and it is still having great success ... abrasive Slayer - like riffs on heavy and
brutal parts, supported by a professional recording ... these are the features of this
first true work. Unfortunately, other troubles separate Filippo ( guitar ), who decides to
dedicate himself to other stuff, from his relatives in Sentence. The band have been
working for more than a year with one guitar, but this year ( 2000 ) is the best ( since
now ) of the three ones of Sentence's activity. Infact many are the shows and the festival
where Sentence takes part. On january 2k Sentence records its first cd " Dominion on
evil " containing 8 brand new tracks; many labels show their interest for it, but the
bans decides to sign for the new born spanish DARK SUN records. The new songs are
certainly more aggressive and fluid, mixing Slayerish riffs with heavy mosh core N.Y.C.
style. But the band's requirement to look for another guitar player in order to increase
the power of live gigs, has always been great and this time it gets bigger and bigger.
Finally, during july 2k, Enrico enters the clan, proving to be suitable both musically and
personally, to play in the band.
