In the semifinals CT Chamartín played RCT Barcelona and lost 5-2. Due to the injury sustained yesterday Pato did not appear for his singles match against Marc Lopez.

This season Pato played again for the team of for CT Chamartín. In the quarter finals they played against CT Murcia and won 5-2. Pato beat David Caballero easily with 6-2 and 6-2. In doubles he teamed up with Fernando Verdasco. When they were down 6-3 and 4-1 against Nicolas Almagro and Roberto Menendez, they had to retire.

In the return match Pato had the same opponent: Tomas Behrend. This time the German won 6-4, 3-6 and 6-1. Because Blau-Weiss Sundern was already 5-1 ahead, the doubles were not played.

Because the Rochusclub Düsseldorf reached the finals once again, Pato was back in action. He won his singles match against Tomas Behrend of Blau-Weiss Sundern with 6-4 and 6-1. Pato teamed up with his friend Alex Calatrava, they lost their doubles match against José Acasuso and Tomas Behrend with 3-6, 6-4 and 6-7(3).

The second part of the semifinals against Kurhaus Aachen was even easier for Pato. His opponent Dominik Meffert did not put up much resistance and Pato won 6-3 and 6-0. But in doubles he and Galo Blanco had some problems to despatch Martin Vassallo-Arguello and Jaroslav Levinsky. Eventually they won 6-3, 3-6 and 6-3.

13/08/2004 – Bundesliga, Germany:

In the first part of the semifinals Pato got past Jaroslav Levinsky of Kurhaus Aachen with 6-3 and 6-3. In doubles he teamed up with his friend Alex Calatrava. They lost a tough battle: 6-7(5), 6-3 and 6-7(5) to Juan Pablo Guzman and Esteban Carril.

08/08/2004 – Bundesliga, Germany:

On day six of the Bundesliga competition the Rochusclub Düsseldorf was up against Blau-Weiss Halle. Pato went down to Werner Eschauer with 5-7 and 5-7. The Rochusclub Düsseldorf won their group and will now play the semi-finals.

06/08/2004 – Bundesliga, Germany:

In his fifth match for the Rochusclub Düsseldorf Pato beat Jakub Herm-Zahlava of Grün-Weiss Mannheim with 6:2 and 6:4.

01/08/2004 – Bundesliga, Germany

Today the opponent for the Rochusclub Düsseldorf was TC Bamberg, for the second time. Pato played against the unknown Boris Pashanski. The guy from Serbia & Montenegro despatched Pato with 3-6 and 3-6.

30/07/2004 – Bundesliga, Germany

On day three of the competition Pato was up against Juan Antonia Marin, who plays for Grün-Weiss Mannheim. Pato won 6:2 and 5-7. Pato did not play doubles today.

25/07/2004 - Bundesliga, Germany:

In his second appearance Pato played an away match against TC Bamberg. He won his singles match against Andreas Tattermusch with 3-6, 6-2 and 6-4. In doubles he and Albert Portas beat Michal Martinak and Petr Luxa: 6-3 and 7-5.

18/07/2004 - Bundesliga, Germany:

Pato was present at the start of the Bundesliga season to play for Rochusclub Düsseldorf against Blau-Weiss Halle. He lost his singles match against German Marcello Craca in spite of a come-back in the second set: 2-6, 6-2 and 4-6.

03/07/2004 - Campeonato España de Tenis 2004, Madrid:

Pato and Pepo lost the finals of the doubles championships to the pair that was seeded first, Guillem Burniol and Guillermo Garcia-Lopez, with 6-1 and 7-5.

02/07/2004 - Campeonato España de Tenis 2004, Madrid:

In the semifinals Pato and Pepo were too strong for the fourth seeded couple of Jacobo Diaz and Quino Muñoz: 6-3, 4-6 and 6-3.

01/07/2004 - Campeonato de España de Tenis Playa, exhibition in Barcelona:

720 pairs will participate in the first edition of the Campeonato de España de Tenis Playa, which was presented today with an exhibition match between Martina Hingis, Magui Serna, Pato and Tommy Robredo, on a special sand court mounted in the Olympic Port of Barcelona. The tournament will take place between July 9 and August 22 on various Spanish beaches.

30/06/2004 - Campeonato España de Tenis 2004, Madrid:

In the second round Pato lost to the number two seed, David Sanchez in two sets: 2-6 and 6-7(4). In doubles Pato and Pepo beat Carlos Marcote and Pedro Salas 6-3 and 7-6(5) in the quarter finals.

29/06/2004 - Campeonato España de Tenis 2004, Madrid:

Pato received a wild card for this event, which he won in 1995 and 1999. In the first round he overcame his friend Quino Muñoz in two sets: 6-3 and 6-4. In doubles he will appear with his brother Pepo. Because they are seeded 2, they have a bye in the first round.

14/03/2004 – Peter-Holz-Trophy, Germany:

The first edition of the Peter Holz Trophy was played at the location of TC Johannesberg. This memorial event is an official tournament of the German Tennis Federation. Pato (as member of the Rochusclub Düsseldorf Bundeliga Team) participated, he was the only international player in the main draw. He lost in the final to local favourite Philipp Hammer with 6-3, 1-6 and 2-6.
