Wreck site: a lot has been speculated on the
place of the disappearance of the rich galleons, San Roque, Santo Domingo,
Nuestra Señora de Begoña and the San Ambrosio, all of the armada of Tierra
Firme of the general Luis Fernandez de Cordoba. According to my investigations
that arrive at 1698, the San Roque and another is in a certain island of the
Caribbean, another in Mexico and of the almiranta Santo Domingo, a document
exists in the AGI, that corresponds to a warning that the governor from Cuba
sends the king of Spain giving bill that in the area of the Escudo de Veragua
(Panama) appeared floating the captain's bowsprit or almiranta, since the two
ships took them same.
